Default Target sights for a Glock 34

I'd like some recommendations for a set of target sights on a G34. I'll most likely want a black serrated front and rear sight. Maybe a gold/brass bead up front. Just want to hear what brands people have tried and what you like or don't like about them. Thanks

I love my ameriglo hackathorn sights. Black serrated rear with a big orange circle surrounding a green tritium dot thus my eyes are instantly drawn to it and it works well for fast aquisition at close ranges. How far are you stretching out? I found the different colors on the front sight allow me multiple focus points for holdovers at say 50 and 100 yards.
Go head, skin it. Skin that smoke wagon and see what happens.

You might want to stick with a fixed rear and just get a nice easily visible front sight, like a Dawson fiber optic (I have one on my Springer RO and a factory fiber on my CZ). Front sights on my revolvers are chartreuse thanks to C&S coatings Jig and Lure paint. You could even try a tritium set for night work.
I say fixed rear because with a 50 yard zero and standard 9mm 115 gr loads you're only 2" high at mid-range. So for most practical shooting you hold center.

Checked those out, they look very precise! Think I might be sold on them, at least for the rear sight. Only reason I wanted adjustable is because they're usually more precise, narrow rear sight notch. I won't be adjusting it for shooting distance, I'd use hold overs instead.

I might consider a fiber optic front. Only issue is I'm going to be running an internally ported barrel. It vents the gas up toward the front sight and the fiber optic would melt/break after a few mags. They're very cheap and easy to replace, but it would kind of be annoying.

I have dawson precision on mine also. I just got a second set for my Glock 41, they're great.

I'm getting the dawson adjustable rear. It's a .125" notch and says it requires a .285" or .300" tall front sight. What's the difference between having a taller or shorter front sight?

Also, which front sight width should I go with for target shooting, .100, .115, or .125? I'm guessing .125 will leave little to no air in the sights since that's what the rear is, or would it be too wide?

A shorter front sight will raise your point of aim and therefore your bullet strike. Dawson's website shows the black rear adjustable with .125" notch mated to a .100" front.

Thanks for that. I'd like to try and reach out with steel targets at 100-200 yards. I'm thinking the .100 blade would be too thin. Would the .115 work or still be too thin?

I use the charger sight set. It's got a .105 front. I don't think I'd ever try to shoot mine at 100 plus though this is a game gun done up for action pistol matches
