    Default Home Carry?

Okay so we could go back and forth on CC/OC all day long but here's a different question. Do you guys carry at home? If so, what do you carry? If not, why not?

As for me - I always home carry. Most of the time in an OC fashion and it's either a glock 31 or some flavor of .45 (1911, glock21, USP45c).

The second I no longer feel safe enough to lounge around my own home without needing to carry a firearm around, is the day that I sell my property and move somewhere else.

    Within arm's reach, YES.

On my hip.. hell no. I want to relax and watch Netflix on the couch in my underwear. I don't need a tactical squad to go get a glass of water.

    Yikes.

    Ditto that^^.

There is a gun within 8-10 feet of you in my house no matter where you are.

I feel no need to carry on my person all the time. Hell, it is a rare event that I'm even wearing pants within my house.

As long as I'm wearing pants; wallet and keys are in my pocket and revolver is in holster on my hip.
It's not about feeling unsafe in my home. It's about not leaving a weapon unattended.

I carry right up til I go to bed, the reality of the times we live boils down to this in a home invasion you have about 3 seconds to get to your pistol or house gun,if it's further away than that your screwed. By having my pistol ready I can start the fight and give my wife and sons time to deploy their firearms.

Having kids in the house means even the easily accessible guns I have aren't really that easy. I usually pocket carry when I'm lounging around the house. Either my Beretta jetfire or lcp. Once I'm dressed for the day, the holster goes on and usually stays on.

I'm with you on that one ett.

I also currently live in West Filthadelphia (moving in two months thank God) so I never actually feel "safe" per say as there is no shortage of riff-raff roaming around at any given time of day.

Considering I've had an "upstanding urban citizen" forcibly enter my home while occupied, I carry at all times, unless sleeping.

With 3 small kids running around, leaving anything out is verboten.
