no instant email notification of thread responses

I've been here a while and haven't received an email notification of any thread response for a LONG time.

I've checked my settings and have chosen instant email notification.
It's more than likely something I didn't click on but for the life of me I can't figure it out.

A little help with this would be deeeply appreciated.

Your account is setup for notifications, so it is either PAFOA's sending server or your receiving server that is the issue. ...I get notices, so odds are it is your account with your email provider.

Check your Spam folder.

I empty my spam folder on a pretty regular basis and check through it for non spam
Items. Other forums instant email work fine.

Do you have Gmail (others may be similar)?

I have Gmail. On my phone and tablet, the "junk" folder is right next to the "trash" folder. Sometimes when I delete multiple emails (edit, check, move, choose folder) rather than individually, my "fat fingers" places them inadvertently in the "junk" folder. Once placed there, any future emails from the same address will go directly to junk without notification in my inbox.

Just a thought.

Thanks guys. I do check all trash and spam before emptying those folders. I've never used my Gmail in conjunction with this forum. I have rechecked my email numerous times to verify it is correct.
Like I said earlier, I get the instant notifications from the other boards I visit.
