Re: BEST 9mm striker fired pistol for strictly range fun?
Thanks hodgie, and others........
I will give the CZ 75 a look, but in my case, it would be the CZ 85, which is the ambidextreous version.

Re: BEST 9mm striker fired pistol for strictly range fun?
Certainly not making a bad choice there. CZ's are amazing. If you want a polymer version there is one with a rail and I believe it is called the phantom. I don't know if it has ambi controls though. I know my SP-01 has an ambi safety and interchangeable mag release, but that is an all steel gun.

Glocks are good but they've let time pass them by. The VP9 and PPQ are much better.

Re: BEST 9mm striker fired pistol for strictly range fun?
You could get it to. It's not a carry gun though. It's 3 lbs of pure steel and a DA/SA pistol. That is most certainly a go to war, range fungun, or competition shooter.
It would need its mag release button swapped to the other side but the safety selector switch is ambi. If you like the CZ design and what something more in a carry size and weight check out the CZ-75 P-01, or the IWI Jericho. There is also the baby eagle which is just an rebranded IWI Jericho. Not sure if the Jericho is ambi controls, but it is designed for the Israeli military and they tend to make some very user friendly guns. The Jericho comes in a G19 size with a polymer frame.Last edited by Kabloosh; October 4th, 2015 at 11:04 PM.

Re: BEST 9mm striker fired pistol for strictly range fun?
For those suggesting a Glock 17 or 34, are you suggesting he use 10-round mags? Or are there 15-round 9mm magazines available for full-size Glocks?
