Question Is Ford Pavilion at Montage still owned by Lackawanna County?

I was checking to see if cameras are allowed there during concerts, and noticed that weapons (as well as audio recorders) are not permitted. I believe the county still owns the place since they had insurance issues when the roof covering the stage area was recently destroyed?

Should preemption not cover this place? I don't think renting or leasing out publicly owned property to promoters allows them to get around preemption does it?

    It could.

It is the temporary use of the land. Still, it would (coould) only be a trespass issue and they wold ask you to leave.

It would be the same as if I rented space (assume I sell icecream) on a township property and had a sign, no weapons allowed. I could ask you to leave the area that I rent to sell my product.

I carried "discretely" to a concert last year. I think the signs said no firearms. They were more concerned with cameras and recorders. No pat downs that I saw. That parking lot is very dark and crazy after the concerts get out. Not a place I would want to be late at night without my little buddy.
