    Default Looking for macromedia software

I'd like to buy a legitimate OEM boxed version of Dreamweaver 8.

I found this site with what appears to be very good pricing.

    http://www.softwaresurplus.com/Guara...es?Screen=SFNT

Anyone ever purchased software from this outfit?

Anyone know of a reliable source to buy software at good prices?

    Thanks.

That looks very shady Tony. I would personally not buy from that website.
Adobe sells DreamWeaver for $399, and the upgrade for $199.

The fact that these people sell the "full"version for the price of the upgrade, tells me that its either an illegitimate copy, or a student version, or something that you might not want to get.

If I may ask, what is your intended use for this software??

That's why I'm asking, it seemed very suspiscious. No contact info (e.g. street address).

I dabble in HTML, enough to maintain the F.I.R.E. Institute website. I own a legit copy of Dreamweaver 4 and just wanted to upgrade. DW 4 has some quirks and since it's so old there isn't an upgrade path to DW 8, looks like I'll have to buy the full version of DW 8.

Just looking for the best price. The F.I.R.E. Institute is too poor to purchase the software for me.

If you are shopping around for legit software, you might just be better off contacting several local dealers and making them bid against each other.

Oh legal Adobe products. Odd, everything on their site is full price, cept this. I guess they are just parting it out. Looks like a good deal. They have a physical address in MN so if anything goes wrong just email the BBB.

I purchased what was supposed to be a OEM Office software a while back from a place similar to this, what I got was a copy of Office that worked without a serial #, Chances are you might get a real disk if you purchase in e-bay, at least if you dont, the txn went through them and you can get your money back if it is a pirated copy.

I had a flash and dreamweaver original at one time, but it was on loan from a business i was helping out on the webpage, when i finished their work, they retrieved the product.
http://cgi.ebay.com/Dreamweaver-8_W0...QQcmdZViewItem here is one that says
100% working softwares with unique serial not copied

"Money Back Guarantee" if the software(s) not working

    USED, not in boxed.

Maybe one of the IT people here or even Dan might have some thing to suggest. Probably the best way to "have" a program that is that expensive privately, is to do what I did and find a client ready to buy it for you to use to do their webpage.

Tony, I agree that site looks sort of shady.

You might consider looking for a free WYSIWYG HTML editor that is an alternative to DreamWeaver, there's a few listed here:

If it's small dabbling. I highly suggest NVU. I use this when I feel lazy as I hate hand editing HTML.

ALWAYS save local copies of your files to your local disk before editting.

i wouldnt trust that site. no address, and they talked about the state of minneapolis.

try softwaremedia.com. they usually have the best prices.

i usually only get software from them and hardware from tigerdirect.
