Beaver County LTCF
My youngest son applied for his LTCF yesterday at the Beaver County Sheriff's Office and to my surprise he got his license within 15 - 20 minutes...
Wow, that was quick. They took his info and made a phone call and then took his picture and gave him the license. When I applied a couple years back, it took at least 30 days.
Of course we have a new Sheriff who is a bit more gun friendly....

Re: Beaver County LTCF
Yes I got my license in late Feb and didn't have any problems and neither did my friend who went with me. They are really good on the timing in beaver county.

Re: Beaver County LTCF
I really wish Beaver wasn't so far away. Sounds like a good place to test trying to apply for an non-county-resident PA LTCF (see http://www.pafoa.org/forum/question-...s-me-ltcf.html).
Thanks for the report.
Do we know if the form Beaver uses is the one prescribed exactly as given by PSP?
EDIT: Looks like the pre-SSN change form. At least it doesn't have edits.

Re: Beaver County LTCF
I got mine shortly after moving to PA from Texas. I was pleasantly surprised at the speed of issue. Much simpler and faster than Texas.
I don't recommend moving to Beaver County, though. It's full of mean people, and expensive real estate, and crowds, and bad schools, and terrible restaurants, and warm beer, and bugs and traffic and horrible TV reception!

Re: Beaver County LTCF
I got mine in 2004 and it only took about 20 min. I don't recall the old Sheriff stating that references had to be from Beaver County, but I see the new one does.

Re: Beaver County LTCF
Hey....theres some nice people around here....lol...and it depends on where you live. Yes all the school districts suck around here, but the real estate is expensive where you are, if you come where I live it aint so bad, I can prove that with real estate assestments from the county, and I don't think the restaurants are so bad, and the beer could be colder, bugs are awesume but that's just me, traffic isn't nearly as bad as it is in the city and well, I don't know what kind of tv you have but we got comcast and I don't have any problems. The only thing I have an issue with is jobs and just the government(state house reps, state house senete, and county commissioners) do suck. just my .02 on this
