Default Kerper's Gun Shop at Narvon

I bought a Glock 19 Gen 4 today. The best price I could find within 25 mile radius of my home (east brandywine) . No aggressive up-sells of any kind and John spent a lot of time demonstrating the pistol. It was a very good experience. Can't comment on selection of firearms since I am a newbie to guns.

I've done a few transfers there, can't beat the $20. I did pick up a S&W 1911 a few years ago from there. The price was a little on the high side but they were the only ones I had found that had that one in stock. Their selection doesn't seem to be as good now as it was just a year ago. They are a good group of people who do not pressure their likes on the buyers.

Did Kerpers change ownership? I was in there today and didn't recognize the people working there...prices seem to be higher than before as well.

I was there in January and it was still the same ownership.

It should still be the same owners- I don't think Cheryl (Kerper) works in the firearms section of the store anymore- that or I have not caught her working a shift when I wanted to browse. They have a decent selection of handguns and plenty of shotguns and hunting rifles. 'Black, evil baby killers' are in stock there but there aren't too many. It must be the clientele in the area. They do carry some surplus in from time to time, especially from commissions. I picked up an M59/66 from there that was unissued.

When they instituted a 'no dry fire' policy it peed me off so I stopped shopping there. They changed that rule to 'please ask and we'll put in a snap cap'. Much better. The trigger is a deal breaker when purchasing a firearm. It isn't a mega store but you can find a decent price on a good handgun or hunting rifle. The staff is very helpful and goes beyond recognizing that I exist.
