Default Now in the Class 3 business

I got my demo suppressors yesterday and I am now in the class 3 (officially I am a FFL01 with a SOT3). My demo units will be my SIG 516 SBR, a Ruger SR1911 and a Ruger MkIII and /or a Ruger SR22. I do have some suppressors in the shop for sale at this time and am working with several distributors to make getting a suppressor even easier.

Quick update, ordered a few more suppressors (that will handle .22lr, 17hmr, .22mag and 5.7 x 28) so I'll have them in about a month (the time it takes to get them transferred to me). If you are interested in getting a suppressor, let me know and we can set up a demonstration here at the shop.

Nathan, Yes I am one of Silencer Shops dealers. You can order through them and have it delivered to me to do the Form 4 or you can do the Form 4 through them and when it is approved, they will ship it to me to be delivered to you. There is no additional cost to you either way.

    Thanks Tredd,
I got my feet wet 2 weeks ago with 2 Form 4s going to the ATF. Had Brandon (AAT) look them over and he gave them his ok, so hopefully in a few months I'll have the customers tax stamps.

Yep, you betcha! It does take a bit of work though. You remove the front sight, thread the barrel, attach the suppressor, load one cylinder, cock the hammer so the round is aligned with the barrel, weld the b/c gap closed (I wonder if JB Weld would work?) and BINGO you're ready to go

I've actually heard of it being done with the nagant revolvers successfully. The action and unique round actually does seal the cylinder gap allowing them to be supressed.

Yes that actually is true. They made one that when it is ready to fire, the cylinder is made (IIRC) to go into the barrel, sealing it when fired. I believe they had a short blurb about this gun in a gun magazine I get, I'll have to see if I can find it.
