Who are you fixing to fight? Ask yourself this before you start putting things together. "Battle pack" suggests some sort of war activity. What are you fixing to do?
I am not sure that vacuum sealing is really oxygen and water proof. Those packs are not under a vacuum, air was removed to collapse the plastic to the box. I don't have information on the life time of the plastic used in those things.

Call it whatever you want. I'm pretty sure I've explained my reasoning at least three times already, so I'm not doing it again.
You really think that water can get into a sealed food storage bag? Through plastic?
