Battle Packs - the Poor Man's Version

One day years ago I was thinking that it may not be a bad idea to have small amounts of ammo stored and "ready to go" at a moment's notice without needing to go digging through closets, or ammo cans, or whatnot - just grab the pack of the caliber needed at the time and go.

Who are you fixing to fight? Ask yourself this before you start putting things together. "Battle pack" suggests some sort of war activity. What are you fixing to do?

I am not sure that vacuum sealing is really oxygen and water proof. Those packs are not under a vacuum, air was removed to collapse the plastic to the box. I don't have information on the life time of the plastic used in those things.

I've vacuum sealed "stuff" for years.
50 round, 12 gauge bandoleers, (x-2) sealed ang then stored in 81MM rocket cans, along with a pistol griped pump.
