    Default Xmass in August:)

Picked up my layaway Super Redhawk in 480 Ruger yesterday. They guy at the gun store gave me 85$ off the price tat had already be agreed upon.

Then talked the old lady into running up to Grice and Bobs. At Grice I found a used holster that fits the gun with scope perfectly for $15 then went out front and found RCBS dies, shell holder and brush for 51$ with a 10$ mail in rebate Also got 400 primers, and 100 rounds of hornady factory ammo.....so now I just need some hardcast bullets and some powder and Ill be set. Midway has them, none of the three gun stores I was at had any bullets for reloading.

Nice! I love new revolvers. I've never fired the SRH, how's the trigger? I recently fired a RedHawk and the trigger was very stiff.
Go head, skin it. Skin that smoke wagon and see what happens.

Went shooting with my buddy bought a matching SRH in 454 the same day. Got it mostly shot in, still about 2" high at 50 yards, but that may not be a bad thing. Shootin factory 325 gr hornady, but going to reload 410gr hardcast so waiting to make any more adjustments. Had several shots touching the previous shot at 50....so the gun is more accurate then I am with a pistol. Had a good time shot 24 rounds and had no hand fatigue, think I was starting to flinch a little though.

I have no frame of reference really, the only other revolver I have owned was a Colt King Cobra. This trigger is nothing like that trigger. I only fired it single action and I guess heavy and crisp are the words that come to mind.

That looks like a great gun! I recently purchased a Redhawk 44 mag with a 5.5 inch barrel. Its a great gun and I have a lot of fun shooting it. I feel safe in the woods with this thing on my side!
