Default Applying for LTCF in Wayne County as part time resident.

I want to apply for a LTCF in PA. I work in NY and have a NY driver license. I don't have any license/permits in NY, however, I have a home in Wayne County PA that I stay at part time (weekends and usually during the summer). The property tax form for my PA home is mailed to my PA address. My question is would this qualify me for a PA LTCF?

Nope. You need a permit from your home state of NY to qualify for a non-resident LTCF.

Edit: Forgot to include, I'm not a lawyer, and this isn't legal advice.

Are you stating that one cannot have dual residency? I have several clients that are dual residents and have a PA LTCF.

Cant answer your question but figured I would offer something else to help. If you are applying in Wayne county, make sure you have two references with GOOD addresses. My buddy is a Wayne county resident and when he applied he used me as a reference. I got a letter from the Sheriff asking me about him and I had to send it back. No big deal, but i figured i would let you know that Wayne is one of the counties that actually does check references.

Nope. I don't know the statutes well enough to know what is required for that, but he didn't state that he had dual residency.

And it looks like I didn't include the caveat that I'm not a lawyer and I wasn't offering legal advice. Sorry about that.
