Anyone here ever done the Orvis Wingshooting School?
I'm thinking of doing the two day class up in New York. Seems fairly expensive ($1100 or so), but the instructors got top marks in some gun rag I read a while back (can't remember which one).
Anyone here done the class or know someone who did?

Re: Anyone here ever done the Orvis Wingshooting School?
I have not attended the Orvis school, but I have taken the Level 1 instructors course and become an NSCA (National Sporting Clays Association) instructor.
I think it all depends on what you want to get out of a course. I have heard many good things about Orvis, but it appears that the cost is a bit prohibitive. For me, I wanted to improve my Sporting Clays scores and do some instructing on the side for beginners and that worked just great for me.
If you do it, I would be very interested in hearing all about it!!
Good luck!!
