Lending a gun to a friend
What are the laws around lending a handgun to someone? Specifically, if the person is over 21, is not a family member, and the person wants to borrow it with the statement of "it's just for while I stay in a residence that is not my own," is this a forbidden action?

Re: Lending a gun to a friend
I personally NEVER let a firearm of mine out of my sight ! If my friends and family wish to shoot one of mine I am physically in the presence of the firearms. In addition I always instruct the safe handling and familiarization of any one firearm to insure safe handling proceedures and safety ! Re: Lending a gun to a friend
Interesting. This is purely a hypothetical, because I'm not in the business of lending guns out to people anyway (other than my brother, perhaps), but it sounds as though one could circumvent this by just selling the gun for $1 to the person, then buying it back later for $1.
