I'm going to be in VIRGINIA that weekend. Looking up the finer points of VA handgun law sometime today.

This is going to be the biggest cluster fuck since Rizzo asked for the National Guard over July 4th 1976.
Major roadways closed, bridges closed. If you take your car out of the "box" you can't get back in. For those that work in town, and have to be there, like hospital staff, companies are making plans to camp on site.

Stay away, stay far away.

Theres certain undeniable Freedoms...and then theres common sense then theres just plain stupidity. Its a challenge enough to open carry on any given day- but try doing that on a wknd in a City with a political hard-on for guns and 2A, you'd be asking for much more than a reprimanding lecture. Everyones gonna be on edge- mandatory overtime, missing their families, near confinement, and +2mil(+)ppl. If you have to remain in this City - just saying- prob better to fly under the radar and leave it at that.

Glad to review this thread and not see someone tried to OC that weekend in Center City. FYI, South Dakota was a great trip, and the Black Hills were wonderful still.
