    Default H&R .32 revolver

Hi-I've been trying to find information about my H&R .32 revolver but having very little luck or conflicting information. Here's what info I do know. The rib on top of the barrel says Harrington and Richardson Arms Company,Worcester MASS USA Pat Oct 4 87 APR 2 95 APR 7 96. There are no inscriptions or numbers on either side of the barrel. There are no numbers on the butt of the gun. Under the frame release lever the number is A Z 7985 or A L 7985. Any information you can give me would be appreciated. Thanks, Bart

Is it a top break? Does it look like this?

Does it have the caliber stamped into the side of the barrel? If it does not have the caliber stamped into it, it is a 1904 Premier model small frame which was built for black powder cartridges and will not handle modern smokeless cartridge pressures.

If it has the caliber stamped into it, then it is a 1905 Premier model small frame and should be OK with modern, factory, standard pressure ammo, if the gun is still in operable condition.
