Re: "I cling to guns and religion" t-shirt,open carry?
Perhaps the NRAILA's "Im a bitter gun owner and I vote" T-Shirts would fit for this purpose? Doesn't alienate any religions or gun owners.

Re: "I cling to guns and religion" t-shirt,open carry?
The context of the quote made it very clear that he was denigrating gun owners and religious people as clinging to these throwbacks as a way of holding onto something. And, he was speaking specifically about those of us who reside in PA.
But who cares? The guy is about as close to a communist as one can get, and that is reason enough to oppose him.

Re: "I cling to guns and religion" t-shirt,open carry?
You don't think? Everyone that heard it thought so. It denigrates not religion, but religious people. He is saying that people "cling", a derogatory term in this context, and they do so because they are bitter.
If you can't see why religious folk might find this offensive, I can't help you...

LOL I like that shirt, even if I am not religious. I wouldn't wear it though, unless it was just bitter gun owners, leave the cross out of it, since it wouldn't represent me.
LOL, I am a woman...

XD - check out the shirt that I linked to that the NRA is currently selling. It leaves the religion part out of it, so it should appeal to ALL gun owners - religious or not!

This is the shirt moose has linked to over at the NRA-ILA site (they have yard signs too):
