Default Another little Open Carry story

I live in a nice town home development surrounded on all sides by large farms. Low crime rural area. I was outside with my wife and young daughter around 7pm with my GS mix dog. OCing as usual my S&W M58 .41 magnum. My home overlooks a cul-de-sac that is next to a large empty field. I spotted a dark lexus that I've never seen before slowly slowly pull into the cul-de-sac, inside I could hear the thump of hip-hop. I watch from about 70 yards away as a woman with a black head scarf exists the driver side, and sits on the curb next to the passenger side where a male sat. Both occupants display the urban thug appearance. They sat there for about 15 mins, car running. My dog needed a walk at that point, so began my usual walk around the cul-de-sac (a very common walk for all the dogs in the neighborhood). As I passed by the car with my strong side facing, the two looked at me and we exchanged 'friendly' hello's (the male was on the cell phone) and I went back to where my family was. I never stopped, I smiled when I responded to their greetings, and I was just walking my dog as I usually do. Within 60 seconds the Lexus turned around out of the cul-de-sac and was gone.

I wonder what their story was?

First, I'd like to start with some 41 mag rep.

If I could rep you twice, cleaning up the neighborhood and taking out the garbage is an honorable tradition. Thank you.

What did your doggie think of this encounter?

They were waiting for the realtor, to make an offer on the house at the end of the cul de sac that was for sale. He was on the phone with the realtor asking if she was OK because she is never tardy. They saw the revolver and the dog and thought you might rob them.

"Let's get out of this bad neighborhood" he said to his wife.

They were undercover dog poop officers making sure folks clean up after their doggies.

They were disguised as ghetto thugs to distract you from their true function

Need to become friends with some of the farmers. Find out who has a backhoe.
It ain't what they call you, it's what you answer to.

Thanks. I have to spread rep it seems.

The fixed sights .41 mag is by far my favorite wheel gun. It hits like a sledgehammer with Speer Gold Dots but is still controllable.

My dog was pretty oblivious; she's a friendly goof.

Sounds like they were sitting there minding their own business, hoping everyone else would do the same.

It's good, then, that I did the same, and minded my business.
