York PA revoking non-res PA permits for failure to remain current in home state
Greetings from Maryland.
There is a lot of talk this week about the York Co. Sherriff's Office apparently new interpretation and effort to require that all out of state PA permit holders maintain proof on file with the York County Sherriff that their home state permit is current and valid.
For more info, read:

Apparently this unique interpretation and "may be revoked" interpretation is not being duplicated in other counties, including Adams.
Can anyone here shed some light on the subject?
TIA

The way I am reading it...to keep your out-of-state PA LTCF as a MD resident, you need to maintain your MD permit and also give the PA county you got the out-of-state license from proof that you still have the MD address too. If you move or let your MD permit expire/lapse, your PA license is no longer valid. Sounds like you must maintain BOTH (up-to-date address and MD permit) to keep the PA license.
Does not sound like a tough request. When you renew your magical uniform permit from Maryland, give the PA county you got your PA out-of-state license an updated copy. If you move, update the MD permit, your driver's license and notify your PA county office.Galations 6:9...And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.

Re: York PA revoking non-res PA permits for failure to remain current in home state
Should the out-of-state CCW expire and the sheriff has knowledge of same, he has an affirmative statutory duty ("SHALL" not "may") to revoke the LTCF. Since the home state CCW is a statutory prerequisite for the LTCF issuance and continuance, the sheriff is simply being proactive in enforcing the provisions of 18 Pa CS 6109(e)(1)(ix) and 6109(i):
18 Pa CS §6109
(e) Issuance of license.--
(1) A license to carry a firearm shall be for the purpose of carrying a firearm concealed on or about one's person or in a vehicle and shall be issued if, after an investigation not to exceed 45 days, it appears that the applicant is an individual concerning whom no good cause exists to deny the license. A license shall not be issued to any of the following
(ix) A resident of another state who does not possess a current license or permit or similar document to carry a firearm issued by that state if a license is provided for by the laws of that state, as published annually in the Federal Register by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms of the Department of the Treasury under 18 U.S.C. § 921(a)(19) (relating to definitions).
(i) Revocation.--A license to carry firearms may be revoked by the issuing authority for good cause. A license to carry firearms shall be revoked by the issuing authority for any reason stated in subsection (e)(1) which occurs during the term of the permit
