Default Land for Long Range Shooting-Western PA

Anyone know of a place where I can shoot farther than 300 yards? I am looking for something closer than Thunder Valley Precision, OH, which is 2.5 hour drive from my house. I'm looking for some land with targets or land without so I can set-up some portable steal targets. I'm willing to pay land owner for use.

there is one in tipton pa close to Delgrosso park but way back in . it is 1000 yard range with the military stile targets that go up and down . the cmp shooters use it maybe they can give you directions.

Yeah, me too. That sounds like a pretty cool range and it's only about an hour and a half from me. Might be worth a drive to check out.

Yeah, a buddy at work plans on buying a .50 cal Barrett this month.
I told him he was wasting his money since there's nowhere around he to actually shoot a fifty cal past a couple hundred yards.
But he's insistent on getting one.

it was a coal mine . as far as directions i know it is behind a grave yard . when i was there the one guy told us that like the top 10 cmp shooters were there and some traveled very far away . one thing that is cool is being in the pit when the 50s come in .

I know of one place local to here that you can go over 1k. You have to be a member though, which I am not. Truthfully 1000 would be past my abilities. I wouldn't mind trying pop up targets at 4 or 500 though. I don't know how well I would do, but it sounds like fun.

I'll have to look into it if no one else replies. Shouldn't be too hard to find.
