First .22 suppressor
I posted a thread a while ago about trying to decide what I should get for my first nfa item. I decided on a .22 suppressor. I went down to kings and had a look around. They had the AAC pilot .22 for $299. I was really looking to have something I could break Down and clean. 300 is pretty much my max + the 200 for the tax stamp.
Anybody have any advice? There are a couple if options but I have no first hand experience with any of them.
Any general info would be greatly appreciated!

Re: First .22 suppressor
I got the Warlock II, which is amazingly light, breaks down easily & is very quiet. After having it for a while, I might have gone with another one that has stainless baffles instead of aluminum, but the light weight is really very nice. Cleaning the aluminum baffles is a royal pain, but honestly, you don't need to clean it that often. I was talking to my dealer & he says he pretty much just pops his open once a year to make sure there's nothing major building up inside & puts it back together.

Re: First .22 suppressor
For 22 suppressors, I'm a big fan of Huntertown Arms Guardian SS (the new design). Stainless steel tube and baffles, breaks down quick and easy for cleaning, end-cap is the serialized part, and while not the quietest 22 can, it's very good. We have four 22 cans here for customers to demo and they routinely choose the Guardian SS over the others.

Re: First .22 suppressor
I'm happy with my older Guardian. Wish I had the stainless internals. Maybe I will upgrade one of these days.

Re: First .22 suppressor
Is $300 you complete/forever/i cant save any more maximum budget?
Only reason im asking is because NFA is pretty much a life long purchase. Save up and buy something that will last your life time.
Yes, designs change all the time, but quiet is quiet. 5 years ago and 5 years from now, 115db is still 115db.
Physics can only be tamed so much.
Buy something quiet, not kinda quiet because its a good value.
Dont get me wrong, some good value cans are quiet. But like most things, you get what you pay for.
Get something stainless steel so it can be cleaned easily.
Having said that, save up and buy a SilencerCo/SWR Spectre 2 or a Liberty Regulator.
...Just my rambling opinion

^^^ What he said, sums it up perfectly! My .02 would be to save a few more dollars and get the Sparrow or Spectre II.

Buy once, cry once. My Coastal passport is all aluminum. Real light weight but a pain to clean.
