Default Lackawanna County, no LTCF printer for more than a couple of weeks so far.

Went in to renew my LTCF, took a friend to get their first LTCF, almost 3 weeks ago, was told their printer is broken. They ran the checks, took our pictures and said the licenses would be mailed out in a few days. My friend called yesterday (Friday) and they said they still don't have a printer. My friend is afraid to carry at all without a physical license even though he was approved and was told he was good to carry concealed or in a vehicle. I guess it's just not a priority?

Your friend is correct. Until its issued he/she doesn't have a LTCF.

Hmmm, the deputy that ran his application him told him he was good to go since he was approved. I never stopped carrying, even in vehicles, even though they took my old license and I don't have the new one yet.

Longshot, but depending on who your state rep is, perhaps a call/email to him/her. I would not carry. ^Wouldn't want to be a test case.

Seems that I recall some stores actually selling printers

Couldn't they just go and get one? Seems like the sheriffs use the crappiest printers available...not some high-end super printer available only thru some exclusive company

I'd have asked for my LTCF number. If he said you're in the system and you need to produce your license, at least you'd have the number for them to check against your name.

Or just wear one of these...

Guess the deputy don't know the law.

Does "issued " in the law mean getting the new license number issued/generated (it's never a renewal of the old lic. number, right?) or receiving a printed card?
