I have been rear ended twice in 6 months by idiots who can't keep their hands off their phones when driving. I don't know how you two wheel fans do it... fucking balls of steel.

That is the most succinct version of that statement I think I've ever heard. Given the heavy leathers I used to wear on an air-cooled bike when it was over 100°F outside, I feel ya.

That was nice . I've since upgraded to HID headlight and projectors since I do a fair amount of night riding. I no longer get mistaken for a cop but my visibility doesn't seem to be affected. Even in bright sunlight my headlights are clearly visible and I will often flick the high beams on when approaching high risk intersections.

I've OC on the bike before (I'm from the Lehigh Valley as well) but lately I've been pocket carrying. I wear a full face helmet; leather jacket, boots, and gloves; and Kevlar reinforced riding jeans, even when the temperature is well over 90. I'd rather sweat than bleed.

Pretty much. I don't ride a motorcycle, but the guys that do----> wow. Don't know how they do it either.

I don't know how to describe why I love to ride. Its just in me some got it and some don't! I have ridden 100 miles to sit on a bench at my cabin, and smoke a cigar. Then turn around and go home.

I rode for quite a few years. I had some back injuries. Not on my bike. It's now to pain full to ride. I need constant back support. That's hard to do on two wheels. I lived out in Cal. at the time. I was a block from the main street coming up from Huntington Beach. I would watch the guys and gals come up from the beach on their bikes "white lining" wearing nothing but what they went swimming in and flip-flops for foot wear. I would turn my head. I didn't want to watch if they went down with zero protection. Talk about road rash.
