    Default Trail camera question

For those of you who have trail cameras a quick question: would a trail camera give itself away to a human when it activated? I have some suspicion that someone may be poking around our cars at night and I was considering putting a trail camera up to see if that's so. Not having any experience with them I didn't know if one would be stealthy enough to get pics if anyone was there without the camera alerting someone to itself.

I have an older model trailcam but I think the newerones operate the same way.

Mine has a diode which blinks to show that the IR (infared) sensor is working properly (I suppose a small piece of black electrical tape can cover the diode nicely.

I set mine at AUTO FLASH to get a night pic. Theflas i blindingly bright - yup they will definitely notice if their pic is snapped at night.

Perhaps a newer model with bight vision would be undetectable - but I bet they are $pricey.

Take a look at No Flash Infrared Trail Cameras "...With no glow cameras, the night infrared led's do not glow red and therefore, the trespasser won't see a visible flash at night..."

This may work. Not a trail camera but it's wireless, not that pricey and provides proof/security.

Which model are you using? I see that they have both 'visible' and 'invisible' models.

If you live anywhere near me in Lancaster and you are noticing little things that are changed then yeah someone is snooping. Seems to be common around here.
