Defensive Pistol Shooting Course - Pittsburgh, PA - Friday July 3rd, 2015

This course is designed to introduce the beginner or intermediate shooter to the art of defensive and tactical pistol shooting.
We will meet at the first parking lot at 9:00am and proceed to our range.
PREREQUISETS:
All students must be able to successfully maintain all shooting safety fundamentals. Working to and from and shooting from a holster a plus, but not mandatory.

- Firearms safety
- Warm-up drills
- Ready positions
- Close quarters engagements
- Drawing and re-holstering techniques
- Reloading techniques and malfunction clearance drills
- Search & scan / situational awareness
- Single hand techniques (right and left and transitions)
- Moving and shooting / shooting and moving
- Failure drills
- Presentation & draw techniques
- Turning and shooting
- Cover versus concealment
- Seated position shooting
- Close range speed shooting
- Dueling
- Team tactics
EQUIPMENT LISTS:
All students must bring:
1. Semi-automatic pistol or revolver of their choice. Similar backup gun is recommended in the event of malfunction.
2. Minimum of 400 rounds of brass cased ammunition (no steel cased ammo).
3. Quality eye and ear protection.
4. Three magazines minimum with magazine carriers/pouch, etc.
5. Pistol / caliber specific cleaning supplies or kit.
6. Sturdy belt and strong side holster. Brokos belt / battle belt optional. Please no flimsy, dangling or cloth holsters. Leather, IWB, or Kydex preferred.
7. Surefire or similar hand held LED flashlight.
8. Minimum 5 dummy rounds.
9. Everyday carry or pocket / belt clip folding knife.
10. Footwear suitable for rapid movement and turning with good ankle support.
11. Clothing suitable for training in any weather – long pants – long sleeve shirt, hoodie or jacket for cold weather.
12. An open mind, humble, willing to learn attitude!
ADDITIONAL INFO:
This course is limited to 10 students only. First 10 to buy tickets will attend.
Private and group shooting lessons available - Rifle - Pistol - Shotgun
Women's classes available.
Pistol permit classes, Utah, Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, Florida, Virginia, Arizona, Massachusetts non-resident carry permit classes available.
