IWB is fine but the holster has to designed correctly. You have to use it correctly, and you have to know the difference. That's what you pay an instructor for. Nobody is holding that guy responsible. At the very least he shoul have noticed what the guy was doing. Most classes will require OWB holsters for this reason. IWB is for after OWB has been mastered.

And I'll add something I learned here, which i'll repeat because it makes perfect sense: when reholstering keep your thumb on the back of the hammer to help prevent AD/ND.

This is good advice. And live-fire IWB practice should follow extensive dry-fire IWB practice IMHO.
