Reputable silver / gold dealer in Philly
Ready to make my first silver purchase, gonna spend a few hundred dollars.
Anyone know a good reputable sliver / gold dealer in Philly?
I was looking into Sansom Coin Exchange but really dont want to get ripped off so I'd prefer if some people could vouch for one which they themselves got good product from?

No such thing as a "reputable" gold/silver dealer that does retail sales. They are all a ripoff to some degree. Coin dealers are the worst offenders by far.

I can't help you with a dealer in Philly, but...
What are you looking for and have you looked on-line?
I have bought from APMEX and Provident Precious Metals. I've not had a bad experience with either one.Soap Box - Worn out : Ballot Box - Broken : Jury Box - Pending : Ammunition Box - Unknown

I've dealt with Sansom Coin, selling some coins. The prices seemed fair. Part of the problem with metals, is it's a very fluid market.
One advantage to a Sansom street shop is they know they have competitors surrounding them. If you don't like the deal it's a 30 second walk to someone else.Corruptissima re publica plurimae leges

Re: Reputable silver / gold dealer in Philly
I understand its a business, so they need to make some profit off their transactions, even the online dealers charge more than its worth.
Silver, I have looked online APMEX and JM seem like decent spots. I'd prefer to pay in cash and avoid a paper trail though, but am still open to online if that's what it comes down to.
As long as they aren't going to sell me something that isn't what it is being advertised (i.e. counterfeit Silver Eagles from china) then that's good. I also dont want them to get angry/offended/give me attitude if I pull out a scale and start weighing the coins in front of them or other tests lol
As I said this will be my first silver purchase, I plan on spending a few hundred dollars. I sold one of my rifles to finance this purchase among other things as well
