Default Winchester 1907 and Sunny Day

So pool was opening today, so decided to take advantage of the weather and sit outside and do a little work on the Winchester 1907 that was delivered to the house yesterday. Still deciding if I'm going to do much to the stock, but the metal definitely needed love. Only spent an hour our two, but happy with the outcome. Most of the surface rust came off, but some was deep and wouldn't come out, but for a rifle this old, I'm ok with that :

    Before :

Almost done with elbow grease :

After done sanding and using my favorite oxpho blue

that's a shadow, not differing shade

Love them Bonnie and Clide guns. I never had any luck with cold blues. All seem to turn brown or wear off. Never tried oxpho.

I tried a few others like vans, etc, and they were all garbage. I heard about oxpho blue so tried it and have been impressed. Even got my lgs to stock it so I could avoid paying the extra handling when ordering it online

As many gallons of Oxpho that you use, the LGS is probably happy to stock it.

The shipping on 55 gal drums of Oxpho is no doubt a killer.
