New Glock 43 works underwater!
Breaking news, a PAFOA exclusive report!
Brand new Glock 43 went from the gun store counter to the swimming pool on Saturday without any test firing or modifications.
Unfortunately, it does not float.
But it does cycle and shoot nicely!

The Federal HST's went about three feet, expanded beautifully and fell to the bottom of the pool.
Easily hearing safe with the gun about a foot underwater. The sound is like a strong thud. Kind of a fun feeling when the shock passes through the water. No one put their head underwater as it will blow out your ear drums without plugs and muffs, so we've heard.
We also shot an unmodified Glock 26 without an issue. We were about to dunk an MP5 when mom said to get out of the pool!In America arms are free merchandise such that anyone who has the capital may make their houses into armories and their gardens into parks of artillery. - Ira Allen, 1796

Nice!
Go head, skin it. Skin that smoke wagon and see what happens.

Re: New Glock 43 works underwater!
Glock sells, or used to sell, "maritime spring cups" to replace the stock spring cups for the striker on the original Glock 17, I think that was the only part that needed to be replaced for normal cycling underwater. Like you said, you need to get the air out of the barrel before firing or the results could be unpleasant.

Re: New Glock 43 works underwater!
The maritime spring cups are out there, but from some experiences, all Glocks work fine underwater, the spring cups are just an added bonus to ensure reliability, not a requirement.
Please explain why the air needs to be removed from the barrel? In America arms are free merchandise such that anyone who has the capital may make their houses into armories and their gardens into parks of artillery. - Ira Allen, 1796
