Default Philly LTCF protocol - still full of BS or not?

My LTCF expires shortly, so I'll need to get a new one. This is my first time having to go through the notorious Philly GPU, and I'm more than aware of the details of the lawsuit they lost/settled upon and the forced changes ( dead horse, I'm sure. ).

Do they still require an interview? Do they still use parking tickets/irrelevant BS to deny under the character clause? I suspect they still fingerprint.

I'm trying to decide if it's just a waste of time/$ to even bother applying in Philly.

Hmm... not sure why the link failed. Oops, now I see why.

If you are a Philla. resident, you must apply at PPD.

I know it's not your point, but do you have any unpaid parking tickets?

I could move. It would obviously be a huge hindrance I'd rather avoid, though.

Actually unsure. Maybe. About 7-8 years ago, I had one ticket that was BS (an entire block got ticketed for parking on the sidewalk. The block didn't even have a sidewalk). I contested it, then moved. A buddy who also contested it got a letter saying it was dropped, but I never received anything.

7-8 years ago, you should be clear. If a warrant was issued, they have to show a record of attempts to locate you. If you were easily locatable, the infraction should be purged.

Yes they interview, basically asking the questions you answered on the application.

No it's not a waste of time. Exercise your rights and get your license.

It would be a waste of time if they're still denying them via irrelevant/subjective BS. You seemed to misconstrue the intent of my post. I was trying to gauge just how much the GPU's protocol has changed since the court order. I have little faith in Philly PD.

I may be wrong but it sounds like you really dont want to apply, but simply want to complain about the GPU.
