you should have never admitted it .

they did not know and would have had no way of knowing ( they don't run another background check ).

I got mine a few years ago before the changes .. took me 90 calendar days and that was with me just walking in . they said they " sent me a letter " and i should have just waited . no letter ever arrived ( shocked )

also did you ever get your old ltcf back in the mail from the other " incident " ???

Yeah, I got my old LTCF back... but it expired yesterday. So I'm on a 60 day timer, via 6016 (12).

I admitted it because I might end up suing the city and I didn't want anything thrown in my face.

Also, does anyone actually get their approval letters? You didn't, I didn't, I know many others never did.

They flaunt the UFA so badly that it's as if they want to be sued. Same as all the other laws they pretend to be above, I guess.

I never got a letter to say my permit was expiring that a lot of people get. I think I'm gonna give it until about 2 weeks before my permit expires and give them a call. I made sure that 45 days from when I filed was the expiration day of my permit. Hoping I don't have issues to challenge that.

With Philly PD taking so long to issue, anyone know if the expiration date on your permit is day you applied or day you picked it up?

A woman that works in my office picked her first LTCF last week. It took all of the 45 calendar days.

It is the date on the permit, which is whenever they printed it! Not sure if it was the application day or some time later. Not the day you picik it up (at least for those of us in counties that do not do instant issue)!

What exactly are the questions they ask during the interview?

I can't remember them all, but...

    mother's maiden name
    father's name
    tattoos
    unpaid parking tickets
    if you've ever been arrested
if you've ever been in a mental hospital
    if you've used drugs
how long you've been at current address
    if you're employed, and where
if you've been in the military
if you've ever discharged a firearm outside of a range or while hunting

Crap, I know I'm forgetting some of the weirder/worse ones. There were 2-3 that I had to say 'not that I know of' or etc, but I now can't remember what they were. I might be back there this week (ugh), I'll try to make a mental note of them.

It's the day the pic is taken/printed, so it would be the pickup date.

I went there and was in/out with my LTCF in about 40 seconds. But they were expecting me and it was already printed/etc.

When I returned home, I had a letter from the PPD/GPU... my approval letter. Dated 7/9. They clearly printed it right after I left. Given that 7/9 is 50 days after the application date (IE: 5 days beyond the cutoff of compliance), I'm surprised they even bothered to send a letter, at all.

    Yeah, I got the LTCF.

No idea. Not sure there even was one. They apparently rushed me out an approval letter right after I left last Thursday (I left at 1:35, they close at 2). So it seems that they realized they goofed then.

When I called yesterday morning, I couldn't even finish a sentence ('Hi, it's [name] calling, regarding Thursd-' "Yes, come on in!") before they told me to go back to GPU.
