    Default Scalia and the 2nd

Justice A. Scalia who wrote the opinion on the Heller case has made a statement that there is some room in the interpretation of the 2nd amendment for banning certain weapons. That is not a good sign.

He made the same statement when scotus came out with their 5-4 decision, he said something along the lines that assault weapon bans and ccw bans would not be breaking the 2nd amendment

I understand that he's on the SCOTUS, but how can anyone honestly take "shall not be infringed" and interpret it - especially given the historical context in which it was written - to mean that it can be infringed upon.

It's also a very scary statement given the current political climate. Here's hopping the UN doesn't pass the treaty and Obama doesn't get re-elected.
