Re: Use of deadly force question
It could be a "domestic" situation, which can bring about significant if not numerous complications.
...and they have a plan...

Break the rules and you get no bones,
all you get is ridicule, laughter,
and a trip to the house of pain.

Re: Use of deadly force question
Nonsense, but your choice.
I agree with others, the problem with the situation is you don't know what is going on. I almost intervened on a guy trying to steal a woman's purse and then beating her when she wouldn't let go. By the time I got there they were embracing and kissing. Had I got there sooner, both of them might have opened fire on me for all I know.
Also, the idea of using deadly force to break up a fight does not seem productive, especially when you don't know what is going on. Unless one guy is doing something to the other that will obviously kill him.
People say 80% of fights end up on the ground. Well, as sprrdhawk44 alluded to, there is a downside to going to the ground. You can usually only handle one shithead at a time. If it gets that bad, Field Goal.

Most likely the thread starter is from psycho mommies demand action and is trolling for mayor doomberg. They start threads like this to generate responses to somehow fulfill their fantasies that gun owners are deranged people ready to drop the hammer on anyone. In reality those people are the quacks and gun owners I find are some of the most responsible and sensible people around.

==============
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude than the animating contest of freedom, — go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen!”
~Samuel Adams
"I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it."
~Thomas Jefferson, 1791

Re: Use of deadly force question
Well, it took Everytown years to setup before the Connecticut shooting. If you've ever read that story. Two weeks and they had chapters in 50 states, 50,000 (or whatever) members, and had been on every nation news program. Based solely on a face book page with 12 posts and no content that didn't turn up in a google search.
