Re: Honest Car shops in the Poconos?
Yeah I was going to say Colonial.
Never purchased a vehicle, just some title work.
I do have friends/acquaintances that have and they were all happy with their purchase. Granted that was probably 15+ years ago now.Last edited by God's Country; April 20th, 2015 at 09:37 AM.

Re: Honest Car shops in the Poconos?
Colonial Auto Sales in Bartonsville, rt 611. I've bought and sold cars through them for the past 25+ years. They have huge inventory, a large garage for warranty work, and aren't pushy.
Absolutely never go to Summit Motors on 940 in Pocono Pines/Pocono Lake area. Very shady.

We too have had good luck with Colonial Auto. Also got a good deal on a used car from Ertle Subaru in Stroudsburg.

Re: Honest Car shops in the Poconos?
When you say car shops, do you mean sales, repair or auto body? There's a big difference.
And, not to jump on the bandwagon or anything, but if you are talking sales, I give two thumbs up to Colonial. I've bought two vehicles there. Talk about no high pressure sales people, the last time I bought a car there, the owner walked over and stuck a dealer plate on the car that we wanted to take for a test drive and said "Come back when you're ready." I looked at him with a puzzled expression and asked if a salesman wouldn't be riding with us. His response was something like "I can send somebody with you, but I figure that you and your wife would be more comfortable talking about the car without one."
I sold cars for almost a year and would have been fired for not riding along with a customer at the dealership that I worked at.Sed ego sum homo indomitus
