pistol upper
So as some of you know, I'm always looking for deals. Saw this and thought it might be good to do a little AR pistol build. States it is Anderson. Seems like a good deal - is it ? $185 . Does not come with bcg - so bargain hunt and get a nibx bolt for $99 and a charging handle for $30, then a lower for $150 and got an AR pistol for $464 and I buy each piece over time spreading out the $ spent. I'm not looking for the best obviously, just something that is decent plinker. Good way to go ?

Re: pistol upper
I would personally prefer a longer barrel and a provision to mount a front sight if I decided against a red dot, but I think you could do worse. No need for the forward assist or dust cover on a range toy AR pistol, just extra weight.

I'm sure they could change that handguard with a railed model and then you could buy backup irons for it.

Re: pistol upper
Another deal that I think is pretty decent is from Hardened Arms. I put together an AR rifle in 7.62x39 from them a while back and love it - no issues. They are now running nice 7.5" pistol uppers in 5.56 or 7.62x39 complete with bcg and charging handle for $299 and $359. I'm sure they are not top of the line, but they are decent in my amateur opinion.....
