Default Going to Atlantic City for the first time, advice please.

All of my friends are over 21 now, I myself am 22. The last of our tight knit group of friends is finally turning 21 next week and had his father book a room for 5 of us for 3 days next weekend. None of us have been to Atlantic City. What I'm trying to figure out right now, is what I should look for, and what I should look out for. I'm considerably street smart for growing up in the pocono's so I should be able to pick something shady out rather quickly and use my discretion from there on. That being said, if anyone has some information on common tourist traps/scams and what not. This is more so I can relay the information to my friends and try to keep them out of trouble while I'm not around. Also what are some good casino's/bars/clubs to visit while we're there and what are some places we should stay away from? Thanks everyone!!

Watch out for hookers on the strip. Last time me and some buddies were there, they wouldn't leave us alone!

The off beaten paths can get kinda scary at night. Stay close to the boardwalk and casinos. Most of the hot women you'll see that are alone are for hire. Sometimes they are fun to hang around with. You can occasionally get a drink or two from them if they think you'll buy some poonany. Don't bring any more money than you can afford to lose. Other than that, have fun!

As long as you stick to the boardwalk and casinos you're good. There are some beggers and panhandlers on the boardwalk, they can get pesty at times. Stay away from the inner city... it gets creepy at night. A general rule of thumb is stick to the casino in your hotel and/or next to it.

I still live in Jersey unfortunately and have been to AC a bunch of times. Tips...Hmmmmm.
    1. At night stay to the boardwalk and a casino or two (there are few that are right next to each other.)
    2. Stay together saftey in numbers.
    3. The Irish Pub isn't a bad bar to go to and not that far from two of the casinos I think
    4. They have built a ton of stores and built up some nice ares right near the stripe hit them during the day though.
    5. I know a couple good places to eat put they are off the beaten path and I can't remember their names. If you have a car and it is during the day look around if you want just keep your spidey sense on. There are parts of the city that aren't bad during the day. again I know them from taking my EMT cert course down that way.
    6. Find a 10 or 15 dollar craps table and watch and learn. Then step up and bet virgin shooters usually bring some luck with them. Some times they crap out. I was throwing for about 50 minutes my first time before I crapped out. I had the pit boss watching me, his boss and probably a couple of cameras. it was a great night at the tables.
    7. When in the casino don't drink at the bars drink on the floor, it is free if you are gambling. gamble on the slots or a table for a bit then go hit the clubs. the drinks will be pricey in the clubs and bars, get buzzed on the floor than walk to the club in the casino.
    8. Be smart if it to good to be true it probable is and keep your wits about you.
    9. have fun

PM if you wanna know anything else I will be happy to help if i can.

As long as you are playing a game, you get free drinks. Just tip the waitress a dollar and you are good to go. However, if you want to get a Red Bull at the Borgata that'll cost you 4 bucks.
