The 2A applies to muskets only?
This is one of my least favorite arguments by the antis.
It clearly shows their lack of understanding of many things, with firearms being towards the top of the list.
They have it in their heads that muskets were the only firearms available at the time of the writing of the Constitution.
Firearms history goes back to at least 400 years prior to the writing of the Constitution and advances came all along the way.
The very earliest firearms were rockets, launching spears.
Then there were hand cannons.
Then came muskets.
In the development of muskets, we had matchlocks, wheel-locks, flintlocks and percussion cap.
Then of course there were smooth bores, rifling, and other advances.
Also, during the time of the writing of the Constitution, there were repeaters.
If the 2A was supposed to be limited, based on how horrible the killing machines we have today are, then why was it not limited when written? A rifled, repeater would have been the deadliest firearm available at the time, and there were plenty of others that were less effective, so why not indicate that in the Right?
Because the Right was not intended to be limited. It's all fun and games, until someone loses an eye. Then it is hilarious.

Just like the First Amendment applies to the Gutenberg Press.

The 2A applies to muskets only?
You would not be able to buy those muskets today because they are capable of shooting over 4 rounds per minute making them an assault rifle.

Just like the 1st doesn't apply to podcasts, the 4th doesn't apply to a high rise apartment and the 10th doesn't apply to the later 37 states
My favorite though is that every single right is an individual right except the 2nd

A salient point here, the Colonial farmers, merchants, and etc., possessed and used the latest military technology of their day.
In that day they were considered to be as deadly as any mean momma AK or AR platform we have now.

I'm to the point I don't give a shit about what they think, say or do. Recognize them as the enemy they are.
