Do I have to buy all of my possible licenses at once?

I will get a standard adult license obviously. I will also want a Muzzleloader license, to take my flintlock out in the woods. I also have a bow, but I don't know if I am good enough with it to hunt. Can I buy those licenses separately later if I decide? I'd rather not buy them if I am not going to use it.

Yes, you can buy the extra licenses later. I did it the first year I had a bow, as I decided to hunt with it after firearms season was over.

I just bought my lifetime 2014/15 license, I turn 65 this year and with muzzle loader, archery, bear, turkey it came to 96.80. Now I have to read the book and get doe tags.

OK, I have read all the postings. I have been to the PA game commission web-site. I have look at where you can sign up for the education at the various locations. I have downloaded the course manual. But, either I'm missing it or I have not look in the right place for what I am about to ask.

What is the cost to take the course? Dose the cost vary depending on location it is being held?

Thank you in advance for the information.

There is no cost (or rather, it's one of the many things paid for by the excise tax that is paid on guns and ammo and other hunting related equipment).

Good luck, and enjoy! Last year was my first season, and I enjoyed myself, even though deer season ended empty handed.

If I took the hunter ed in NY, do I need to repeat the class? I have my original card.
