2015 MASA Fun Shoot

MASA Fun Shoot is scheduled for

SATURDAY, MAY 16th, 2015
Raindate: May 17th

NOTICE: Please mark your calendars and tell your MASA friends. We will not be mailing any flyers or post cards out to notify members of the event this year. Flyers will be posted at the range. Thank you.

FYI, I attended this event in 2014 and it was a lot of fun. Got to meet some of the other members, do some shooting and had a nice lunch as well.
Only issue is only Members are allowed to shoot and there was no ability to Join Day of event.

Well I did reach out to the Club Secretary to see if there would be an orientation before the event since I have a friend who wants to join. I was told that there may be one prior but it hasn't been scheduled yet.
She went on to say this about Joining the day of:
"If you have friends who want to join and shoot at Fun Shoot, we do make an exception that day - joining members would be allowed to shoot the day of Fun Shoot but would need to come back to complete their orientation BEFORE they are considered members, get a membership card, or are able to use the range again. So, its a one day exception - for Fun Shoot ONLY. Then they must complete the rest of the process to join."

So from that I take it to mean they can bring their signed membership application and fee on the Day of the Fun Shoot and would be able to participate in the shoot but they wouldn't be granted full Membership Privileges until they complete the orientation.
