Has anyone had any work done by Turnbull Restoration and Manufacturing in Bloomfield, NY?

I haven't. But I do know someone who has, and that gun is like liquid beauty.

Turnbull is renown and highly accredited. And is probably one of 5 restoration smiths in the world that will legitimately increase the value of a gun when he restores/refinishes it.

(99% of the time, if you do any work to an old gun - you kill the value even more)

I have a three digit 1911 at Turnbull's getting restored. It will be finished in October, they have had it since last November. I have seen there work it is second to none. If you can wait a year for something to be restored it is well worth it. I will post pictures of the 1911 when I get it back.

I have done business with them for years. Outstanding true bone pack case color hardening. Very trust worthy company to deal with.

Haven't had them do anything for me, but I have met Doug and seen a few of his guns, and their work is fantastic! My shop does immersion bluing but the old stuff that has collectors value I wouldn't do. If it has any collectors value I would absolutely send it to Turnbull! You won't be disapointed at all!
