    Default Montgomery County renewal notice

I was wondering if anyone else has received a renewal notice like this? I did inquire and was told not to bring a firearm because it only creates problems for them. I did verify that PA State law has not been changed regarding the rules and requirements concerning the checking of a firearm at a court facility.
Silly me.....I was under the impression the Sheriff's Department is charged to enforced the law, not interpret or alter the law to their liking.

Are they undergoing renovations? Have they lost a lot of their deputy sheriffs?
Are they inundated with other duties for the time being? I'd just leave it in the car. It's easier anyway. I've done the locker thing at Bucks. It's a bit time-consuming. Who needs it.

I had to report for jury duty back in November, in norristown. I left my EDC at home because the summons said to use the side entrance, not the main entrance. During lunch break I asked a deputy at the main enterance and he said that they have lockers at both entry points. When you walk in, approach a deputy, tell him that you "need to secure a firearm", don't say I have a gun.

It actually is not their job. Lockers have to be provided, with a receipt.

MY courthouse has lockers on the wall by a back entrance. You walk in, find the lockers, secure you weapon. When the locker is locked the key goes in your pocket.

No wasting of tax payer money with "guards" at the entrances. 1,200 years of English history have shown that if things have gotten to the point of burning of the public records it is going to take an army to stop them, and even then it is a coin toss.

If however they are wasting money sitting there, then they need to deal with it.

That notice would guarantee I would bring a firearm for them to secure.
Bunch of lazy douche bags. Pa sheriff/deputies have the easiest LE detail in the state. They don't do shit.

Just one? I'd bring a BUG too, and a couple of knives, and some OC spray.

Went there in December. Locked the pistol with the mfg. supplied padlock, and locked it in h the car. Went into the Court House and came out 15 minutes later with a LCTF. Why make an issue of it. There are more LEO guns therein that could need ever need your support.

Because it's the law. If we have to obey the law, then they have to obey the law, too. It's up to us to make sure that they do, whether they like it or not.
