gun for mom

I am picking up a hp22 for her tomorrow. It is what she wants and its better than nothing at all I would prefer t her to have something bigger but she doesn't want that she is a good shot so placement is the key

Congrats to your mom!

My mom finally got into shooting at age 63. She has a Glock 19. She also loves shooting my Beretta M9.

BTW...you should really try to find the period button on your phone.

I think it's a great choice cause SHE picked it, it should work out just fine for her...

I wish my mom would shoot too. She's not a commie, she's just a fraidy cat. Guns are too loud and scary! She's actually a decent shot too. She did really good the one and only time she shot trap. Dad makes up for her.

So long as its reliable.

I'm always a bit leery over 22 semi pistols for self defense.
If I were to go 22 I would be considering a wheel gun, personally.
But it's her choice.

I have abut 2500 through mine and it's been trouble free, to break it in, use cci mini mags, 50 to 100 rounds, then nothing but cci standard velocity after that, i have changed the recoil spring once at about 1800 rounds, i clean the gun every 500 rounds, it is a good gun when used with the proper ammo, standard velocity, is the key to longevity.

This is my carry gun and is all i am able to handle at this point in life, and it sure beats carrying a rock.

PS. Check on youtube for the much needed safety mods that you need to do, as it is a Cali gun, and the safeties are a joke.
