Default 1st impressions and full review on the G43

It's a bit long at 30 minutes but the pistols seems to run well with all different ammunition types.

Good video, thanks for the post. Looks like the G43 ran great for them.

I wanted and wished for a single stack Glock 9mm like 6 or so years ago.

I ended up buying my first Kahr back then, and found out I really like them. My CW9 and CM9 work very well for me and I really prefer the long smooth trigger pull for CC use. Their ergos fit me perfectly as well.

I do really like my G26 though,(my only Glock) It fits my needs when I want more capacity in a small CCW and it is so versatile with being able to use all the double stack 9mm mags... So I am not sure if I will ever need or get a G43??? (I am thinking about going bigger and picking up a G19/17 Gen4) But it is nice that Glock finally has a gun in this category. I am sure it will sell very well.

I have been looking for a m&p shield. Just heard about the 43 yesterday and I am already on 2 lists for the 43. I just hope I can wait until their available. I might have to buy both. Anyone know the price of the 43?

    And there is the problem.
When average people were screaming for a single stack Glock, they heard none of it. The void was filled by other manufacturers and now Glock is 10 years late to the party. I'm sure law enforcement will be grabbing them up as bugs and other legit uses, but I don't see me owning one at the moment.

The part about the gun not feeding well when slide racked was interesting. I will be interested to see if that was a "new gun" issue. Will not dissuade me from buying one however.

That's it. Glock got huge because they were in the market when it blew up. While I'm sure they will sell well, they missed a huge portion of the market growth. Heck, I'd say that the market is mature and any future growth will be incremental.

I agree with you on all points. I might be in on as used one down the line, but I dont really see the need for it at this point.

Yes... this will go on every department's "approved list" the 26/27 will get dropped off the ankle holster of thousands of coppers all over. The 42 would have been a good choice but many PD's don't allow 380.

He was more talking about walking the slide verses letting the momentum bring it home. It didn't like to be walked. The feed ramps on my Glocks hardly resemble super smooth and polished, so it'll likely be an easy home fix should there be those who need their G43 to be able to 'walk' a round into the chamber.
BCM and Glock...for a bigger pile of 'cold dead hands' brass.

Meh. It's not much smaller than my G26. The grip is thinner, but I have never had a hard time concealing a G23 or an M&P40, let alone a 26.
    When in doubt, knifehand!
