Default AR-15 Triggers, Which one and why?

Geissele, CMC, POF, Timney, the list goes on and on.

I've heard great things about all of them, but people seem reluctant to talk about them all at once. Most sit between 3-3.5lbs pull, short reset, etc. I'm sure all would suffice, but which is the best? (in your opinion of course)

Do any trigger systems stand out?

Which do you like? Why do you like it? Which DON'T you like? What the f*ck is the difference between any of them?

    THANKS!

Im a big fan of giessele, but for the money and price CMC cant be beat IMO. In my comparison of triggers owned i can add my personal exp.

I have the Super 3 Gun from Giessle, and its an amazing trigger, breaks like a 1911 trigger super crips, no take up, reset is crazy short, just awesome!!

I also have the CMC flat trigger and damn for the price its hard to beat compared to the giessele..not as clean as the giessele, but like i said for the price difference its very hard to beat...

I reccommed the CMC all the time for new shooters looking for a trigger, to my friends who are shooters i tell them giessele (if i know what their money situation is)...

with my shooting exp, my splits are equal between the two...

I am partial to the Hiperfire triggers -- In total we have the 24, 24E, and 24G. Love them all.

I'm partial to the 1lb second stage of the Jewell. A pita to setup, but excellent after that.

The Jard is excellent on a budget for a sub 2lb trigger as well.

I want to like the Geissele, but for the price, I expected a lighter pull.

Since I'm big into pistols, 1911s in particular, I went with Timney. The Timney trigger most closely replicates that, in that it breaks like a glass rod. It really is phenomenal.

It depends on the intended use for the rifle. I have two different Geissele triggers on my Two ARs. An SSA-E ,(Super Semi-Automatic Enhanced), for the BCM RECCE, which is a more accuracy oriented setup; and a SD-C, (Super Dynamic Combat), in my Daniel Defense middy.

If you visit the Geissele Automatics web site, they have a trigger selector link, along with the characterictics of each trigger.

I have two Geissele SSA-E's and two ALG ACT's. My buddy has a Hyperfire. My friends and family have more G triggers than anything.

I like the G's for precision work. They are pricey but to me they were worth it. The SSA E has a crisp clean break to it. Reliability and safety are in the bag when it comes to these as well. I also like that you can order spare pins and springs from Geissele.

I like the simplicity and price of the ALG ACT triggers. You get a hell of a lot in that package. It is a single stage trigger tuned by its sister company Geissele. Its smooth with a clean snap of a break. The NiB coat helps with cleaning and smoothness.

Best part of all.... both are Pa based. You can order from them, get free shipping, receive your items in like three days, and keep the money and jobs local.
