Braving Gun Rights Haters' Nails: Lower Merion Township, PA Family Open Carry Rally (video)

Braving nails placed in the street by our car tires by gun rights haters (one wonders if there is no low they won't stoop to) we protested the fact that Lower Merion, PA won't repeal their local gun ordnance despite the fact that it's in violation of the state's preemption law.

There was a twenty something loudly talking about "the freak show" to his friend on the other line, but then again people on there cell phones in public are another story!

There was a quite person in opposition that I had seen as we wrapped things up, he had a sign taped to his chest reading "Guns are for the weak". Kinda true if you are older or infirm, I smiled.

And the nails are just more litter we cleaned up!

It was cold as hell out there today. I was the one with the Pitt mix that everyone came up to pet :-)

Lots of cops around but none said anything to me. I Oc'ed into the wawa down the street after event and was saddened that I didn't get cop coffee. Oh well.

Good event. I didn't see any police and there was just 1 troll, mentioned above. Its my understanding a police report was filed for the nails.

The one guy was completely nuts, I heard him saying something like he wants the cops to have more firepower, etc. A complete "the government knows what's best for you" brainwashed idiot.

I'm a LM resident. I walked to the rally with my son. I've never been in that park WITHOUT a pistol. Not about to change that. Good event, hope everyone's tires made it out alright.
