Nope, sorry. I know nothing about him so I'll have to do some homework to find out more.

I kind of know him via a friend, I emailed him and got nothing back, at this point, and given his history, I'd say a non believer!

He's a reliable Democrat. I cannot guess what his public position will be on these issues, but I can speak to his political history.

I assume you are being sarcastic and he is a RINO (at least on gun issues) ?

I would like to hear/read more about his record...

Actually, I was not being sarcastic, I was wrong. I made an assumption regarding which party he would announce his affiliation with, based on history.

I am glad he is running as a R, and if he wins time will tell if he is sincere.

I sent an e-mail to him a week or so ago using the address
as shown on his campaign web-site, but have not heard anything back yet.

I called the number on Hanna's campaign web-site at around 9 AM or so this morning, and he called back at around 10:30. We chatted for about 20 minutes.

I questioned him in his positions regarding the 2A in general, PA LTCF permits and his duty / responsibility as Sheriff to issue them, and his views on preemption and the unconstitutionality of it.

In summary, and this is verbal from him:

    - he understands, supports and respects the 2A and its constitutional significance.

    - he follows the laws and the constitution.

    - he will make the 'availability' of LTCF's no more restrictive that what they are now. will issue them in accordance with the law.

    - he will work to expedite the process. maybe same-visit issuance, as is done elsewhere in PA.

    - he wants to make the process easier, perhaps with an on-line process for original issuance and renewals.

    - he thought Pawlaski was dead wrong to attempt to pre-empt state gun laws, and does not support any form of preemption.

we discussed guns in general, and i got the sense that he is pro-gun, for law abiding citizens.

further discussed the anti's behavior, positions, etc., and agreed that they are on the wrong side.

Anyway, that's about it. He seemed very personable, and we shared many views on lawful and responsible gun ownership.

Will try to get a hold of Ed Zucal to discuss the same.

    Sincerely,

    Rob
