Re: Chronograph set ups, let me see them!
Had my chrono many years before it took one. Now I understand the saying there are two types of chrono owners. Those who have shot one and those that will. Fortunately for me the brain box is separate from the screens and the screens are rebuildable. Will look for the same set up if it ever needs replaced.

It ain't what they call you, it's what you answer to.

to avoid hitting the chrono, I have marked the rods that hold the diffuser in about 4 inchesfrom the top with sharpie for about a 2 inch patch so that when looking through my scope my reticle is inbetween the black lines that way in know im not shooting my chrono.

I stretch a piece of masking tape between the front rods a little more than half way up, and put one of those stickum target dots on the tape as an aiming point.
A couple of times, I've shot out the tape when testing my handgun loads. Another idea I picked up from another forum is to use the correct-sized wooden dowels instead of the aluminum rods for the sunscreen. The wood will only shatter with a bullet strike, rather than wrecking the top of the chrono housing.
