Wow, that seems like a great time! Thank you for posting this. I'm going to try and get into some hog action. 10mm, and after some research maybe for shits and giggles the Sks. Or is that just wrong? Not sure where I stand on Sks hunting. I group tight with it, and 7.62x39 penetrates nicely. It just seems evil for some reason. lol

Question: Anyone who has gone on one of these hunts. Is there any hidden costs or is it just $350? All animals are $350? I checked the web site and it looks like that's it but I was just curious. Man would I love to whack a pig with my AR-15.

I beleive it's still $350.00 and it includes Lunch.

The only extra $ is for a tip for the guides.
Wouldn't you like to know what's in my safe.

Its been $350 for many years, but the big Russian Razorbacks could go as high as $500, and when i checked it out years ago a Buffalo was going for $1000.

If the Animals are not fenced in it could be a lot of Fun.

Whats wrong with eating Wild Pigs? They are healthier than all the pen raised hogs that has been shot full of drugs and hormones.

The general pigs at this place aren't really wild pigs. I am thinking they are barnyard hogs left to free range on some fenced farm, then rounded up and bought to the island and let go. However the guys I know who have shot them say they taste way better than grocery store pork- well they are free ranged outdoors, so obviously... and once they get shot at, the ones that get away unscathed do get smarter. My free range chicken eggs are always better than ANYTHING from any store. It is that allowance of a partial wild diet and happy dustbathings and whatnot. With these pigs, mud wallowing, and a hog will eat all sorts of things, so if they enjoy a huge fenced area that includes pasture and woods and a spring to turn into a wallow, they will eat "wild" ( and be happy), as well as any feed rations that might be put out for them. They then are rounded up and taken to the island.
