    Default S&W 40 caliber SW99QA

Anyone own one ? I am looking at some Police Trades from the next town over from where I grew up. I like my Police trades and figured this might be one to add - it's a decent price. I've never really been a fan of the S&W/Walther pistols, but ...........

Never owned or fired one, but was talking with the WV governor's security several years back and he said he like them better than the glocks other state police were issued. Don't remember exactly what he found superior, was several years ago.

Thanks for the input - doesn't seem like many own one, lol. I have heard similar - that it was the predecessor to the M&P and a nice gun. Just can't sell myself on it though.

From my understanding it was simply a copy of the Walther P99. I've heard good things about the Walther if that's any help....

Another option might be to look at the Canik TP9. For the same money, you can have a new gun that is making waves in certain markets.

Hickok45 did a good review on YouTube. The TP9SA has been touted as the Glock dethroner. Can be had for around $300 on the right day.

The original TP9 is a P99 clone, the TP9SA differs a little bit more.
