    Default Looking for input

Looked at a bunch of pistols today
    narrowed down to 3
    S&W m&p 9mm 4.25 17rd

    GLK 19 9mm 4.02 f/s 15rd

    GLK 23 GEN 4 40SW 4.02

these were the most comfortable.Wondering if there are any know issues on any of these ? looking up reviews on google seems split.

    Thanks nate

Split between fan boys and haters for the most part.

Each one of those pistols are tried and true and extremely reliable so it's going to be about user preference. Although it's not my favorite pistol I would put the G19 as the best all around SD/HD pistols there is in the under $600.00 price point.

I like how the M&P's feel better in my hand but I feel the Glock has a better trigger out of the box, mag's are plentiful and affordable and aftermarket sights typically run a few bucks cheaper and are very easy to install on your own.

My vote is for the Gen4 G19.

The 23 will be a great pistol too but I don't see the need for the .40S&W caliber has a whole with all the excellent 9MM offerings that put out the same performance with less felt recoil.

G19 all day long. You'll end up with one eventually anyway, might as well be now.

    trigger, glock
    ergos, m&p
    sights, m&p
    less expensive extra mags, glock
easy to find accessories, dead even.

9 vs 40? well, that's another thread in and of itself...that will derail about 15 times before ending up locked.

it all comes down to which one you like better when you hold it. either will serve you well.

Your looking at 3 solid guns. I've only shot a couple mags thru a friends G23. Nice gun.
I like the Ergos of the M&P pistols better. That's just my preference. Btw, don
t forget the M&P can be had in .40.
That said, if I was buying a polymer 45, I'd be real serious about the G21 gen4. Lack of recoil surprised me.

Some say the Glock, stock triggers are better. I find them both serviceable the way they are. But I'm a trigger snob. My 2 competition M&P 40's are out having full trigger jobs done right now. I also did some trigger work to my carry 9mm.
I love the smell of gunpowder in the morning.[

Good comparisons made to the Glock in this article.
